Hon. Comrade Chinedu Nweke Ogah (OON) hails from Amagu in Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. Hon. Ogah is the Chief Executive Officer of several business establishments including Chiboy Motors, Blessed Martins International School, Chiboy Mines, Chiboy Farm, etc. He is currently the distinguished member representing the good people of Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency, in the Federal House of Representatives, Nigeria.

Hon. Chinedu N Ogah, was sworn in as a first time Member of the House of Representatives on the 19th of November 2019, after he had reclaimed through the Tribunal, as affirmed by the Court of Appeal, the mandate massively given him by the good people of Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency of Ebonyi State at the National Assembly 2019 Poll. Hon Ogah is a member of House Committees on: Reformatory Institution; Communication; FCT Area Council and Ancillary Matters; Federal Character; Agriculture Production and Service; Electoral Matters; Petroleum Resources (Downstream); Public Accounts; Sports; Works; Police and Health. His doggedness and proactive exhibition in the Green Chamber has endeared him to Principal members of the House and the Honourable Speaker – Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.

As a visionary leader who understands the needs of his Constituents, Honourable Ogah hit the ground running, shortly after he was sworn in, by moving his first motion wherein he called on the Federal Government to urgently wade into the communal crises that had bedeviled some communities in his Constituency. He urged the Federal Government to provide monetary grants and social empowerment programme to the victims. He also urged the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to immediately provide relief materials to the affected victims displaced by conflicts and flood in Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency. By the end of the year 2020, the resilient Hon. Ogah had sponsored over Eight (8) Bills, moved 10 motions and presented 3 Petitions. Among the motions moved by Ogah include: the motion for the construction of a link bridge and rehabilitation of Abakaliki/Ikwo/Obubra road; motion on the need to declare State of Emergency on Power Sector; motion to investigate alleged extortion, Passport racketeering and corrupt practices by officials of the Nigeria Immigration Service; motion on the need to investigate the refusal of Access Bank PLC and other Banks to call back their Forty-five percent staff laid-off despite the directive from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN); motion to halt the increase in tariff of DSTV Multi-Choice Satellite Television Service and to provide free three (3) months TV signals to Nigerians during the period of COVID-19 pandemic, amongst others. Hon Ogah Petitioned against Royal Salt Company, over the breach of a contractual term in their MoU which resulted in the death of his constituents and against the Nigeria Army, over the unwarranted and unlawful dismissal of an indigene who was serving in Maiduguri, Borno State.

The Member Representing Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency has demonstrated outstanding leadership by fulfilling a greater percentage of his campaign promises. He is simply a workaholic lawmaker who understands the concept of governance. He has within a year in the National Assembly: attracted over 200 Federal jobs to deserving Constituents in the Federal Civil Service; paid for the 2020 WAEC registration fees of over 800 indigent students; distributed over 350 motorcycles, 50 Tricycles and Garri Grinding/Processing Machines to Constituents; distributed over 2,000 Wrappers, assorted food items (like rice, onions, Maggi) and cash to the needy – mostly widows; awarded either Undergraduate or Masters Scholarships to over 50 Tertiary Students evenly selected from the Wards that make up Ezza South and Ikwo LGAs; paid hospital bills worth millions of Naira for numerous indigent patients; repaired Transformers and donated 20 brand new 300KVA Transformers to Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency; rectified electricity problems in some of the communities in Ezza South and Ikwo LGAs; donated a brand new 10KVA Generator to the Nigerian Police Force, Abakaliki.

The ever reliable lawmaker attracted the intervention of NEMA and other relevant Government Agencies who distributed building material as well as household materials (like mattresses, rice and other items) to victims of flood and communal crises in his constituency; constructed over 15 bridges across his constituency and erected houses for impoverished constituents who were displaced by hostilities, flood or other environmental hazards; distributed Fifty Million (N50m) naira to over 300 people as empowerment grant for tertiary students and tradesmen; empowered over five thousand indigent women and children during the 2020 Christmas party. He equally facilitated the immediate release of persons illegally detained by Security Agents; empowered 1,030 Women and Youths under the Micro Enterprise Enhancing Scheme; helped secure low interest loans for youths with viable business plans; variously procured and distributed empowerment machines like Tailoring Machines, Grinding machines, etc, to youths; assisted greatly in reconciling conflicting communities; distributed palliatives to his Constituents to cushion the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hon. Ogah is currently canvassing for the establishment of Federal Mortgage Bank in Ebonyi State. He is also working closely with the Vice Chancellor of Alex-Ekwume Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo (AE FUNAI) to attract a road network worth over ₦1.5 billion from ecological fund, into the University. Hon Chinedu Ogah is a recipient of many deserved awards, significantly: the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) National Award conferred on him by President Goodluck Jonathan; the Enyioha 1 of Igbo Land and Ikukuoma 1 of Amagu Ikwo. Because of his popularity amongst his people, he made record as the only APC stakeholder/candidate in the entire South East Nigeria that delivered his Ikwo Local Government Area to President Muhammadu Buhari, during the 2019 general election.
